New Rims and tires weight

I just put on some new rims and tires and was curious about the weight. The new set is 5 pounds lighter per rim/tire. Which is 20 lbs total around the car. In the hybrid world does this even help?

Just in case anyone with the 18x7.5 rim and tire package was wondering. My scale said 48 lbs per rim/tire combo

Well, every pound helps, but I really doubt you'll see a difference given all the other variables (who rides with you, weather, driving style, etc).

Curious to see what it looks like as well. How's your average MPG now? Do you see any gain/dip in avg MPG?
