We have both a 2015 Golf and 2016 A3 e-tron, both of which are the top trim levels with all the factory-available options.
Both cars are built on the same MQB platform and share a LOT of components (control modules as well as running gear) to the extent that the VW Golf GTE in the EU is an pretty much an A3 e-tron wearing VW Golf "clothes".

All of which is preamble to saying, our Golf has high-beam assist - high beam go off automatically as you approach another vehicle. And using VCDS, I've looked at the lighting channels to see what's set where that enables high beam assist.
I've tried copying that over to the A3, but it either won't accept the setting, or when I do, high-beam assist still doesn't work

The e-tron being a "fancier" car from a luxury brand...one would think it'd have (or at least have the capability to enable high beam assist) but nope - gotta dim the high beams when approaching other vehicles at night, as if I'm back to driving my first car - a 1984 Tercel.

I can't imagine it'd be a limitation of the LED headlights on our A3 because....well, the high beams do still work.

Just curious if any other users have it working....particularly on a 2016? Is it available and functional on the 2017 and later cars?

With the lack of Virtual Cockpit and MIB2 (CarPlay) and HBA (I'm assuming) in the 2017 onwards, really feels like I jumped in one year too early.
(Still totally love the car, though :))
