I received my 2018 A3 e-tron recently in Ontario but did not get the green licence plates on it. My dealership informed me that Audi Canada did not register the 2018 model with the Ministry of Transportation in Ontario in time, so they are waiting for the paperwork to go through. I was told it would be a couple of weeks and in the meantime they transferred the regular licence plates from my old vehicle.

This is also likely the reason the 2018 model does not appear on the Electric Vehicle Incentive Program's list of eligible vehicles: http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/vehicl ... bate.shtml

I just checked the MTO web site specifically for green licence plates and the 2018 model is now listed. Here is the link http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/vehicl ... icle.shtml

However, the 2018 model has not yet made the Ontario rebate incentive program list yet. Hopefully sooner than later!! I took delivery of my 2018 last week and it has been a lot of fun to drive!!!

I'm getting my green license plates today, so they must be registered now with MTO which is why they appear on the EVIP site now.

I feel like it will take a few months to get the rebate, but at least now I feel like it will happen for the 2018 model.

That is terrific.... I also was somewhat worried that 2018 wasn't going to be registered.
I plan on getting my green plates on Friday.

Interesting, the 2018 they show a 'hatchback' trim.. Must be a mistake.
