Hi all,

I just thought I would share my current insurance experience with you...

Tuesday (6 days ago) my e-tron was at the Audi dealer (2 miles away) with a headlamp warning light. They reported back that the headlamp was cracked (hardly noticable) and water ingress had caused the lamp to fail.
The leasing company declined the quoted replacement headlamp and suggested referral to the insurer.

The Insurers' approved repairer collected the car (on a truck) and took it 50 miles away.
Whilst they have provided me with a courtesy car, my e-tron has been off the road for 6 days.
Maybe it will be returned today, maybe they need even longer to replace the headlamp, I am not holding my breath!

I am sure that this will have cost more than Audi quoted for a same-day replacement headlamp.
I'll see the cost so I'll post the comparison here.

Ha Ha, my e-tron has been off the road for 9 days (insurers fault, not Audi's) and the repairer has now replaced the headlamp. But, because they are 50 miles away they don't have a driver available until tomorrow.

That will be 10 days to replace a cracked headlamp, I'm sure that Audi would have done it same-day 9 days ago!
