 Post subject: No regen charging in S mode during long trip

I'm able to drive to work 20 miles in EV mode. Upon return I've been switching into "S" mode. I can usually regenerate 9 miles of EV.
I just took a 140 mile trip in "S" mode with some long downhills. However, I was only able to regenerate 5 miles. I thought I'd at least get 10-15 miles.

Why was I not able to regenerate more EV?
