The UK government announced a new scheme to support electric vehicles on the 26th of February 2015. This replace the current scheme that is slightly more favourable. For home charging points the main change is that the maximum available grant drops from £900 to £700 per installation.
I had a home charging unit installed this week. Standard 16A units were on offer for free, but I chose to pay £95 extra for a 32A unit. The same unit after the 13th of April will be £295. Please note that you need to have an electric vehicle or have one on order to be able to apply.
